Some sections of the Bear Creek Trail are literally cut out of the side of vertical cliffs. A red-shirted hiker can be seen descending as storm clouds gather over the Uncompahgre Gorge. Higher up on the trail are some old mines and collapsed structures. Imagine hauling heavy supplies up this trail back in the day... June 9, 2016
